TROY, Mich. — The 10th anniversary of The NEWS’ design/build mechanical contractor summit, MechanicalXchange, has sold out. “Twenty nine of the most innovative manufacturers in the HVAC/mechanical marketplace have signed up for the 2014 MechanicalXchange,” said Nick Sattler, show director. “Not only is this the earliest we have ever sold out, but we have nine manufacturers participating for the first time.”

MechanicalXchange is a leading industry summit where principals and senior executives representing some of the country’s largest design/build mechanical contractor firms gather for private strategic partnership meetings with leading manufacturers. MechanicalXchange will take place Sept. 21-24, 2014, in Park City, Utah.

MechanicalXchange features 24 of the largest, most progressive design/build mechanical contractors and 29 leading manufacturers. The sole purpose of the event is to enable the executives of these contractors and manufacturers to get together for one-on-one meetings over the course of two days to discuss ways to grow their respective businesses via strategic partnerships.

There are still a few slots available for mechanical contractors that want to participate. If interested, email kylegargaro@achrnews.com.

Jeff Phillabaum, president of Hill York, a Florida-based mechanical contractor and advisory board member of MechanicalXchange sees great value in the event. “I can meet with a sales guy every day, but that is not of interest to me. I come to MechanicalXchange to meet the leaders of those same manufacturers so I can grow my business.”

This year’s list of 29 manufacturers includes: Apollo Valves, Aquatherm, Carrier Corp., CleaverBrooks, Eaton, Emerson Network Power-Liebert, HAAKON, Honeywell International, Intermatic, Johnson Controls (JCI), LG Electronics, Marking Systems, Mestex, Milwaukee Electric Tool, Milwaukee Valve, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling, Munters, NIBCO, Schneider Electric, Sloan Valve, SPX Cooling Technologies, Stulz, Titus HVAC, Trion, Twin City Fan, Uponor North America, Viega, WaterFurnace International, and Zurn Industries.

“This year we have seen a remarkable increase in overall industry awareness and an amplified desire to nurture and develop top-to-top strategic partnerships,” said Sattler. “Both the contractors and manufacturers have a clear understanding that the strategic outlook provided by their respective senior executive teams can provide the vision and a clear pathway for working collaboratively to grow their respective businesses for years to come.”
